My former psychiatrist once told me a story about a former patient that also had a disorder. He was never late for their weekly appointment until the day that it happened because of a family emergency. The patient wreaked havoc at his office and after being told the reason for the doctor’s late- ness and that he was being unreasonable, the patient blamed the fit throwing at his condition, as if he had no control of it. His point by telling me this story was that despite whatever impairments a person might have and however one might be feeling, the victory of acknowledging your condition should mean that the next battles you’ll be facing shouldn’t be about using it as your weapon of choice, but about figuring out your next moves despite of it. https://inspirational.ly
