When we face challenges, let downs, failure, etc., all we want to do is nurture the mind. We forget that we have complete control over how we think. I remember many times in my life sitting in my house bitching about whatever wasn't right in my life. l was like a broken record! Until one day I listened to myself talk. No wonder I was stuck in the same place for so many years! All I talked about was the same shit. I never talked about actually being someone productive in life. No, I would rather sit in shit all day. | used so much energy on going backwards. I just thank God I woke up before it was too late. When confronted with difficulty, shift your attention from the problem to the solution. When I was 297 pounds, instead of bitching and saying it's too hard to lose the weight, I just focused on losing the weight. I didn't focus on how hard it was. Shit, I weighed 297 - yes, it's hard to lose weight, that's a given! Focus on where you want to be, not where you are! We have the ability to create the life we want. We must see that life first. If we can't see it, we can't achieve it. Block out negative self talk. Block out negative visualization. Create what you want in your mind then go after it!
